Capital One Returns to Art Week in Miami with Hassan Hajjaj

Capital One’s sophomore showing includes a collaboration with MICHELIN-starred restaurateur, Rose Previte

Capital One and The Cultivist return to Art Week in Miami, with DAR MIAMI 1446, a vibrant and captivating installation created by internationally acclaimed artist Hassan Hajjaj. The installation will transport Capital One cardholders — and the public — to a Moroccan-inspired world.

“DAR MIAMI 1446 spans geographies and artistic mediums, bringing people together to experience Moroccan and regional culture through a unique artistic lens,” Hajjaj said. "I’m happy to partner with Capital One and The Cultivist on this project. From the beginning, they’ve embraced the vision of DAR MIAMI 1446 by supporting its core ideas. The collaboration enables my love for food, art and music, and brings people together in unexpected ways.

Capital One cardholders can enjoy unique dining experiences within DAR MIAMI 1446 created by acclaimed restaurateur, Rose Previte, — an entrepreneur, author, and owner of DC’s acclaimed restaurants and bars Compass Rose, MICHELIN-starred Maydan, Kirby Club, Medina and forthcoming Maydan Market in Los Angeles.

“Hassan and I saw this as a chance to blend our traditions, and also bring something new and exciting for everyone in Miami,” Previte said. “The menu is inspired by my heritage, using ingredients that are more than just food, but also part of daily life. Our Art Week in Miami collaboration lets people not only see the art but also taste and experience the culture behind it."

The installation will be an immersive experience that melds together food, music, art, and design from across cultures in novel, imaginative ways. As a key element to the experience, Simo Lagnawi will perform live Gnawa (traditional Moroccan music) during dinner and tea service.

DAR MIAMI 1446 creates a space where guests can connect with powerful images and the stories they tell, fostering a deeper appreciation for the diverse voices and perspectives that enrich our world.

How Capital One cardholders can experience DAR MIAMI 1446

Capital One will bring three days of cardholder programming to Art Week in Miami: December 4-December 6, some of which will also be available to the public.

Afternoon Tea: Hassan's tea brand Jajjah will be served in the tea salon with an afternoon menu by restaurateur, Rose Previte, that includes a section of teas paired with fresh pastries, available to cardholders and the public from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Cardholder Exclusive Dinner: Curated by MICHELIN-starred restaurateur, Rose Previte, inside Hajjaj’s DAR MIAMI 1446 installation.

After Party: Discover a world created by artist Hassan Hajjaj alongside live entertainment by DJ Pee .Wee (Anderson .Paak), Kaytranada, and more.

This installation builds on Capital One and The Cultivist’s joint efforts - which began in 2022 - to unlock exclusive opportunities for cardholders to gain inside access to the art world. Together, Capital One and The Cultivist have delivered several events crafted to inspire and engage cardholders  blending the worlds of visual and culinary arts. Last year, Capital One and the Cultivist joined forces at Art Week in Miami with an ’80s nostalgia art installation created by Alex Israel, and dining experiences curated by MICHELIN-starred chefs José Andrés and Dominique Crenn.

“We’re excited to return to Art Week in Miami after last year’s success, continuing to collaborate with The Cultivist and leverage their expertise and excellence in the art experience space. This year we're creating another enticing installation that blends the visionary art of Hajjaj with the culinary art of Previte in a unique way.” says Monica Weaver, Head of Branded Card Partnerships and Experiences, Capital One. “We look forward to continuing to create these types of one-of-a-kind events during extraordinary moments to make lasting memories for our cardholders that they can’t be found anywhere else."
