Capital One Teams Up With Uber Eats
During this extraordinary time, more people are staying in and finding new ways to enjoy life and make memories at home. That’s why Capital One is excited to partner with Uber Eats to make dining even more rewarding for both Savor and Venture cardholders.
A Shared Commitment to Our Customers
Capital One and Uber are committed to designing effortless digital experiences to help our customers get the most out of life, whether that’s in dining, travel, or experiences. We’re also both continually iterating our products and services to provide value to our customers and communities in new and different ways, especially in a COVID-19 era, where many people are adopting new habits to enjoy life safely. The new limited time offer from Capital One and Uber Eats builds on the ways Capital One has transformed our operations and offerings to best serve the changing needs of our customers in the wake of the pandemic, by providing a variety of options for earning and redeeming rewards.
Now, Venture and VentureOne cardholders can earn unlimited 5X miles and Savor and SavorOne cardholders can earn unlimited 5% cash back on all orders with Uber Eats starting July 14, 2020 through January 31, 2021.
“Capital One understands that our customers’ day-to-day lives have changed,” said Monica Bauder, Head of Branded Card Partnerships and Experiences. “They have had to forgo the travel, dining, and entertainment experiences that they are so passionate about. To help our customers get even more value out of their credit cards during these uncertain times, we are launching a partnership with Uber Eats, one of the largest players in food delivery.”
Capital One is proud to team up with a company who is working alongside our own efforts to support independent restaurants, restaurant and hospitality workers, as well as those in need of food, during this unprecedented time in history.
“Over the last few months, we’ve added a number of features to the Uber Eats experience to support local restaurants and ensure safe food delivery, in addition to the reliability and convenience that our customers know and love,” said an Uber spokesperson. “Our efforts span from adding a contactless delivery option to adding an in-app restaurant donation button where customers can contribute to their favorite local restaurants directly at checkout. We also built new features including Share This Delivery so people can easily send friends and loved ones their favorite meals.”
When COVID-19 hit, Uber Eats committed to donating 10 million free meals and rides to frontline healthcare workers, seniors and vulnerable populations. “We’ve matched every donation up to $6M to the National Restaurant Association’s Employee Relief Fund,” said the Uber spokesperson.”
Despite the fact that states across the country are slowly beginning to reopen, the pandemic has expanded spending on food delivery services and is pulling forward the demand that was inevitably going to take place over the coming years. We believe partnering with Uber Eats will provide extremely relevant and useful solutions to our customers’ lifestyles.
