Talk about one-stop shopping. Drivers can look to Toyota for car and home insurance with some Toyota-specific benefits.

The coverage is offered through Toyota Auto Insurance, a division of Toyota Insurance Management Solutions in partnership with Toggle, a member of the Farmers Insurance Group. Toggle is the underwriting partner, and Toyota Insurance serves as the agent. Toyota works with insurance companies familiar to most drivers and homeowners, including Travelers, Nationwide, and Progressive.

Toyota Auto Insurance Availability

Toyota Auto Insurance is currently sold in 43 states, but your vehicle will be covered in all 50. Some dealerships can sell you a policy when you purchase a vehicle. Even if you don't own a Toyota, you can likely purchase coverage for your vehicle.

The Benefits of Toyota Insurance

According to the company, Toyota Auto Insurance customers receive Toyota Genuine Parts for repairs whenever possible. Tie-ins with Toyota Certified Collision Centers and Rent-a-Toyota car rental programs help get customers back on the road quickly.

The insurance also integrates ToyotaCare Roadside Assistance, which is provided automatically for two years or 25,000 miles from the date of first use on new Toyotas. Roadside Assistance can help when you are locked out, run out of fuel, or need a jump-start.

The policies can also be adapted according to how customers use their vehicles. These include coverage and plans for rideshare drivers and even pet passengers. Toyota Insurance also offers coverage for homes and rental properties, boats, motorcycles, and RVs.

Toyota Guaranteed Auto Protection, or GAP insurance, is also available. An insurance settlement payout is based on the current market value of the car, truck, or SUV, and it can be less than the amount you owe on the vehicle. In such a case, Toyota GAP insurance can pay the remaining balance minus fees.

Discounts Offered by Toyota Insurance

The companies offering coverage through Toyota Auto Insurance may be able to give you a discount for being what the company considers a good driver, paying your premium in full, bundling your homeowner policy, having certain vehicle safety features, or being a good student.

By signing up for Toyota's Insure Connect, an app that shares your driving data with Toyota Insurance Management Solutions, you could also be eligible for discounts based on how well you drive. You must drive an eligible vehicle and agree to share your data with Toyota Insurance Management Solutions. Insure Connect is not available in Alaska, California, Hawaii, or New York.
