Not Worthy of the hype (if there is any)

Wednesday, October 02, 2024

Expected a lot more from Acura: Will not buy another.....Glorified Honda accord 1) infotainment is outdated and worthless 12 presets for favorites ...the whole setup is not user friendly and inadequate 2) Had buyer remorse after owning it 1 week 3) The drivers seat takes time to get used too 4) The features are not in mark with the overprice of the vehicle( ie) No heated steering wheel on a Aspec AWD 5) LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO AN INTEGRA FROM FAR AWAY or up close. Pros .....The stereo sounds good (The ELS system) Wished I would have gone with an Audi A5 premium Plus black out package or prestige package .......the prices are very comparable to the tlx

Good, not great

Thursday, July 22, 2021

As others mention, the interior styling is nice. I especially like the lighting on the doors at night. Just beautiful. My gripe is (as it was with my 2015 Acura TLX) the tech package. What were they thinking with a touchpad? I feel like I can't focus on my driving when using this. Therefore, I usually just listen to podcasts so I'm not changing stations all the time on Sirius, for example. The 2015 TLX tech package was a disaster for me (very buggy) and they really didn't make great improvements here. That said, seats are comfortable (need better lumbar support though) and it drives amazing. This car almost drives itself! I love the cruise control and how if someone cuts you off it brakes, though it can be very aggressive, so word of caution there. Still, overall a nice car and mostly on par with what you'd expect from Acura. My other small gripe is the gas mileage. This car weighs too much and gas mileage really suffers because of it. Therefore, I don't use the fun Sport mode much. In all, very solid car.

ACURA woke up!

Outrageous styling, great handling, beautiful high end interior, amazing torque from the 2.0 turbo engine. Great value in comparison to over priced German cars. Home run for ACURA?
