Safe car
Wednesday, February 05, 2020
As for safety, I was impressed when 3 years ago another vehicle ran a red light and hit me on my drivers side about middle of my Sorento when it began to roll over. I was very secure in my seat and although I did not know what was happening at the time while my vehicle was rolling over and ended up with the the drivers side face down on the highway, my seatbelt held me securely in my seat and airbags protected me. Though they had to break my windshield to get me out, I got out of my Sorento shook up but walking and tiny scratch on my arm. The paramedics were a husband and wife team who were in the process of looking for a safe vehicle and looked at the Sorentos reviews and was thinking of buying one. When they saw how I survived the crash and the great condition I was in they said we know now what vehicle we are going to purchase. My husband was able to see under the car while it was on its side and said wow it is really strong and made well and we went out and purchaserd another Sorento 2 days later.

Totally recommend the 2019 V6 Sorrento S Series. Gets MPG at around 24.5 in the city and about 32 on the highway. No problems in 24,000 miles varied multiple roads types of driving. Really in the south don't need the new all-wheel drive version. However I feel the new 2021 version is a cool new looking automobile because of its mini Telluride look and many new great updated standard features. However dropping the V6 for me was a not too Smooth Move. That's why I jumped on a low mileage 2019 Kia Sorento V6 S Series. They have had very good success with the 3.3 liter V6 don't know why they ditched it for a turbo charged four cylinder. It may save them money but for a bang for the buck definitely a V6 is highly recommended if you're going to do any kind of pulling of objects. Very stable on light snowy roads and heavily rain roads. My nice Hancock radials are very good tires suited for this automobile. I plan on putting Hancock's back on this vehicle again. But my vehicle has been very good on tires still has the original Hancock radials that were on it at the brand new level. The best thing about the automobile is the room and the interior. We hardly ever use the third row so it's mainly a family hauler of stuff. Drives like a new one even at 24,000 miles. Everything is in top mechanical condition. Hardly any noticeable wear on the brakes or the suspension system. Really awesome on acceleration. Because of the V6 motor can leave a lot of people off the interstate in the dust. Feels really safe love the side view mirrors indicating you have someone near you and also the Back-up Camera makes a weird noise if someone is behind you. So those features along with many others I haven't mentioned make this a very safe car. I was leasing a Toyota RAV 4 and did not like it like the Sorento. The things I've noticed the Sorento does better than the RAV4 overall better handling, power and just feels overall a better automobile. So if you are looking for a midsize SUV jump on all the 2019 to 2020 Kia Sorento V6 models you can find. Definitely Kia was stupid for dropping the V6 model from their lineup. Really have enjoyed the Kia Sorrento S Series as a nice travel companion. You will be happy you listen to me.

This is a great SUV. I have no complaints after 1 year of owning it and putting on 15,000 miles already in a mix of highway and city driving. I own the LX model with the base 4 cylinder engine with AWD. The heated leather seats are nice and soft and comfortable for long drives. The heated seats are really nice and warm for winter months. The SUV handled great in the little bit of snow I drove it in from last December. It consistently gets great fully economy for an AWD mid-size SUV. I average about 25 city and 31 highway, which is even better than the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot. It drives smooth over bumps in the road and is really quiet with little to no road noise. The cabin is really fancy and nice, almost like being in a luxury vehicle. I haven't had any issues with it all. I definitely am happy with my Sorento. I even got an aftermarket grille and the 4 eyed fog lights and many people complimented me on how sporty and cool it looks. Many couldn't believe it was a KIA.
