Smart

Bought a Prius C II brand new. 7 years, 137k miles later and this car still sounds and performs the way it did the day I drove it off the lot. Oil changes are the only thing I've ever done to this car. Yes, oil changes only! None of the routine scheduled other maintenance ever performed, original brakes still going strong etc...Seriously man! If you only need an A to B then back to A reason for driving, why not. If you are a male in your 40s and can remain confident with your manhood after the constant teasing from friends, family, strangers, co workers, even my female doctor, or the constant tail gating, "brightings" from low self-esteem dudes who lack any self confidence at all.....or the biggest test of all, in having a pre-teen daughter who absolutely rejects the offer of taking this car at 16 because it's a "girl car"? Whoa. Wait. What did you just say, honey? I was confused by the comment. Not sure if she was saying I was a Sissy 12 year old girl trapped inside a 43 year old man's body or that she was a Man trapped inside a 12 year old girl's body? Does my daughter have no faith in her Protector? Whatever, man. So what did I respond with, and what you can respond to your daughter with? "Honey, it takes a Real Man, with Real Confidence to drive this car. I don't need no stinking ridiculously high Lifted truck to make me feel better about myself. I don't need no stinking Nothing to make me feel better about who I am! All I need is A to B then back to A in the most efficient manner as possible"! So who is the joke on now? Not me. Right? Lol

The Best Car I have EVER owned!

03/07/2021

Bought my silver with black interior in April of 2012. I studied it for hours because I thought that this could be the best car I had ever seen and the best that Toyota had ever built. It is thee most reliable car that Toyota has ever built according to Consumer Reports. Let me tell you that if you drive this car on the highway at 43 miles per hour it will get about 65 miles per gallon all the time. I actually have gotten 87.5 miles per gallon only one time but before that I had a high of 85mpg. I did get one time like 94.7 mpg but that is when I was going down hill and the ev, all electric took over. I have not had any issues with this car. Driving down the highway at 43 miles per hour the EV kicks on each and every time you go down hill but if you go above past 44 miles per hour than the EV will turn off. There are no belts with this car. No timing belt or timing chain. Only a couple of hoses for the anti freeze. This car is built so perfectly that the weight of the front end is 1380 pounds and the rear weight is exactly 1380 pounds. Has anyone ever known any car to weigh exactly the same for the front and the rear? The air conditioner actually runs on electric motor so you are not waisting fuel from your engine. The air conditioner is self contained. I leave mine on all year long even when I have the heater on so my seals in the air conditioner will never go bad and make it leak. I have owned this for almost 9 years and still have not ever gotten it checked for freon. The weight of this car is only 2500 pounds! Toyota will build another one of these soon because gas will soon be hirer than it ever has been before very very soon. Can anyone tell me if they know of another car manufacturer who has made a car as good as this and have the same weight distribution for the front and rear of the car? I believe that we have witness the greatest car ever built. This car has plenty of power. I know because I have had it up over 109 miles per hour. So when people say this is not sporty and it is slow they really do not know how to drive this car. My car is a 2012 Toyota Prius C Four, silver with black interior and I got every option that they had when I bought it new. I have door edge guards, sunroof,16" special alloy wheels, premium paint protection on the hood, the doors, bumper protector, wheel locks, net safety guard for the trunk, all weather floor liners front and back, trunk rear all weather liner, a security system that will track your car and then find it, side trim for all four doors. I really am looking for a silver with gray/blue interior that is a 2018 Prius C FOUR that has low mileage and that is certified. Once I find it then I will drive its until it breaks down and finally dies. I do not think it ever will if it maintained like it should be. Look at Wikipedia at the Prius C and you will discover that it is the most reliable car that has ever been built by any company. Toyota should bring this back with even more options and a much better stereo system in it with a bigger screen. I hope they read my review so they can build this car again. That is my dream.

Over 200k miles ZERO issues

07/12/2020

This car is exactly what I wanted it to be. Reliable and economical. I change the oil myself every 10,000 or so and change filters. This car is over 200k miles with zero issues. Zero. The only money I have had to put into it self oil changes, new tires and new brake pads. I do NOT take this car to a dealer for “standard” maintenance so it’s over 200k without a mechanic touching anything. This is you commuter car.
