Most reviews on KBB are hater reviews

11/02/2022

The negative reviews you see are mostly review bombing fanboys who either don't own the car or didn't realize they were buying a collaboration between BMW and Toyota. The car is great and uses one of the greatest engines and transmissions on the market. They have been refined and that's why Toyota chose them. The power is great and becomes even better with just a downpipe and tune (get to 450HP for 2020 or 500HP for 2021+ models). I haven't had any issues with my Engine or Transmission in 32k miles and I drive it every day with mods. It handles great and is able to take corners at high speeds with ease. MPG is decent for a performance vehicle giving close to 28MPG on average. The one really big issue this car has, which can be fixed with a $20 part, is the wind buffeting. Doesn't matter what you do, the design of the car has the wind shooting straight into the back of the car over 40 mph. The $20 wind deflectors fix this and should have been given to all Supra buyers. I paid 52k for a brand new straight out of transport mode 2020 Supra 3.0 premium and haven't had a regret since.

Better Than You Think

09/30/2022

This car shocked me the first time I drove it home. I bought it to fulfill a childhood dream of mine. Not to be the fastest on the streets or the coolest. However, the performance is shockingly good. I've driven both the Z4 and the M340i that share the same engine and transmission but the Supra really perfected that build. It hooks quick 0-60, it eats corners at any speed, and its surprisingly luxurious for the price point. The safety features aren't distracting, the road noise is quiet, the commodities are plentiful. Honestly I like the car wayyy more than I thought I would. 8/10 Would recommend for anyone.

An MKV Supra with the heart of a lion

08/02/2021

Having had an MK3 Supra at one point in my life I was super excited to get this car. This one did not disappoint. I have the A91 in Nocturnal Black and the car is an eye catcher for sure. I love the tunability of this car. You can modify a lot of things as the aftermarket came out with a lot of upgrades very quickly. Some knock the car because of the B58 BMW engine and ZF drivetrain. Honestly, it is a great partnership. You can definitely tell where BMW ends and Toyota begins on the vehicle. Aside of the dumb BMW jokes, the B58 is a tuners dream. The 2021 puts out from the factory 382 hp on paper, but its more than that. You can make a few lost cost upgrades and get 500 hp out of this engine easily. I think Toyota did the right thing seeking the best in line 6 cyl in the market rather than developing one. If Toyota would have designed the engine this would have been a $100-120K car with more limitations than what has been delivered. I have seen many vids out there of a Supra hanging or beating C8's. It is very comfortable to drive and it is what it is as far a space. Its a coupe sports car. The sound system has some acoustic design flaws, but those are easily remedied for about $100. There is wind buffeting, but those are easily modified to eliminate. No car is perfect, this one is close IMHO.
