The Capital One Mobile App

There are several ways to download and set up the Capital One Mobile app:

• Download and install the app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Text the word “CONFIDENCE” to 80101.
• Scan the QR code at the top of this page to access a secure download link.

For returning users, after you download the Capital One Mobile app, simply sign in with your Capital One username and password or enable biometric sign-in to save time.

You can access optional security features through the app, including a biometric sign-in setting that uses facial recognition or fingerprint recognition to verify your identity. Further, you can customize your settings to include real-time account alerts that notify you of suspicious activity on your account, including potential credit card fraud. 

The Capital One Mobile app uses a number of security features to help protect your account. These security measures include two-step authentication, real-time fraud and purchase alerts and a card lock feature that allows you to block others from using your stolen or misplaced card.

Yes, the Capital One Mobile app is free to use.

The Capital One Mobile app helps make activating your new credit card simpler. Once you’re signed into your account, simply tap your profile on the home screen. From there, you can access your account settings and navigate to “Activate Credit Card.”

Note that you’ll need to have the 3-digit CVV number on the back of your card in order to activate it through the app. If your new card is replacing an existing Capital One credit card, you’ll also need to follow the prompts to consolidate your accounts in order to link your new card to your existing account. 

You can even use Eno, your Capital One Assistant, to activate your card. Simply type “activate” (“act”), and Eno will pull up your card accounts. Then choose the card you want to activate and follow the steps to complete the process.
