• When booking rental cars through Capital One travel, Venture X cardholders can earn up to 10X miles. Venture cardholders can earn up to 5X miles.

Eligible Capital One Venture X cardholders qualify for complimentary President’s Circle status, which is the top-tier membership level. The President’s Club membership level adds even more perks to the signature benefits of the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards program, including:

• Guaranteed upgrades: Guaranteed car upgrades at participating locations. Cardholders can enjoy one car-class upgrade, with a maximum upgrade to a full-size vehicle.¹

Eligible Capital One Venture cardholders qualify for complimentary Five Star status. The second-highest membership tier offers the signature perks of the loyalty program, plus:

• More choice over what you drive: Access to a wider selection of rental vehicles. 

• Car-class upgrades: Upgrade to the next car class, if available, at participating locations.¹

• Dedicated customer service texting line: Reach a customer service agent with your rental inquiries.

• Enhanced level of rewards points: Earn 1.25 Hertz points for every dollar you spend on Hertz car rentals.²

Accessing your President’s Circle or Five Star status is simple. Here’s how:

1. Sign in to your Capital One account online or through the Capital One Mobile app.

2. Select the Explore rewards and benefits tile, and select your Venture X or Venture account.

3. Select the Benefits tab in the navigation bar.

4. Click on the Hertz tile.

5. If you’re an existing member, request an upgrade to match your Venture X or Venture cardholder status. If you’re new to the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards loyalty program, fill out the enrollment form. 

6. Submit.

7. Receive your upgraded status in 24-72 hours.

Hertz Gold Plus Rewards membership is available for all Venture X and Venture cardholders, including authorized users and account managers, age 21 and over. 

Just make sure you enroll through Capital One. That’s because enrolling directly through Hertz.com won’t automatically detect you as being eligible for the program, which means you won’t receive your upgraded status.

Venture X and Venture cardholders can conveniently book Hertz rentals directly through Capital One Travel. And by linking their Hertz loyalty number, cardholders can enjoy all the same Hertz benefits while maximizing their Capital One rewards.
