Capital One Software Releases Cost Breakdown Report Feature
New feature provides customers with more granular visibility into Snowflake usage and costs.
June 4, 2024, McLean, VA - Today, Capital One Software, an enterprise B2B software business of Capital One, announced a new feature in Capital One Slingshot, Cost Breakdown Report, which offers customers detailed visuals of Snowflake costs that can be tailored to the unique needs of the organization. With this feature, customers can track and label costs based on tags set by the organization, resulting in a comprehensive, yet customized view of their Snowflake spend.

The Cost Breakdown Report uses Slingshot tagging capabilities to provide an enhanced level of visibility into Snowflake spend across custom categories. Tags can be assigned to objects—like warehouses and databases—or to specific users, which helps customers then zero-in on specific costs in the Cost Breakdown Report. This level of cost visualization provides organizations with more predictability and the ability to confidently navigate Snowflake cost management.
