Honda Prologue EV Offers an Estimated 300-Mile Range
Three trim levels will be available. The Prologue EX and Touring trim levels are both powered by a single motor driving the front wheels. All-wheel drive is optional and adds a second electric motor at the back axle. The top-end Prologue Elite is offered exclusively with all-wheel drive.
The dual-motor setup is good for 288 horsepower and 333 pound-feet of torque. As of October 2023, Honda has not announced specs for the single-motor layout.
The Prologue uses an 85-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is capable of DC fast charging at rates up to 155 kW, which Honda claims can provide 65 miles of range after 10 minutes of charging. Honda is estimating an EPA rating of approximately 300 miles.

The California-Designed Prologue's Styling Fits in With Other Honda SUVs
Designed in California, the Prologue features front-end styling reminiscent of Honda's other SUV offerings. However, the Prologue's front grille has been slimmed, since there's no gas engine behind it that needs to be kept cool.
Black cladding trims the Prologue's wheel arches, which are filled with 19-inch wheels on the base EX and mid-level Touring models. Stepping up to the range-topping Prologue Elite nets 21-inch wheels, the largest diameter ever offered by Honda.
The rear of the Prologue features a sharply raked back window that's topped with a spoiler to improve the SUV's aerodynamics. Blocky letters spelling out Honda replace the automaker's traditional rear badging. A hands-free power liftgate is standard on Touring and Elite models.

The Cabin of the Honda Prologue Is Stylish and Spacious
The Prologue's interior features seating for five and a minimalist design, with an emphasis on storage and usability.
Honda placed the Prologue's shifter on the steering column, freeing up room for a two-tier center console that's wide enough to place two smartphones side by side. Front seat cupholders are just as generous, with the ability to accommodate a pair of 32-ounce bottles.
Wireless phone charging is provided by a pocket-style charger integrated into the center console. A pair of USB-C power ports are also available to both front- and rear-seat passengers.
All Prologue models come standard with an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster and an 11.3-inch central touchscreen that runs Google Built-In and is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Either screen can display Google Maps, and if a DC fast charger is set as the destination, the Prologue can precondition the battery en route. Elite models gain a head-up display.

On the safety front, all Prologue models come with the latest version of the Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver aids, which now includes rear-cross traffic braking, blind-zone steering, and rear-pedestrian alert.
Prologue EX trims include cloth upholstery, a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. Stepping up to the Touring trim adds leather upholstery, a memory driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and front and rear parking sensors, in addition to the EX's standard features. Opting for the top Elite trim adds perforated leather seats, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a Sport driving mode.
The Prologue features up to 25.2 cubic-feet of storage space behind its rear seats, which Honda says is large enough to accommodate three golf bags. With the 60/40-split rear seatbacks folded flat, the Prologue's cargo area can provide up to 57.7 cu-ft of space.

2024 Honda Prologue Will Go on Sale for Less Than $50,000
The Honda Prologue is scheduled to go on sale in early 2024. As of October 2023, precise pricing is not available, but the Prologue is expected to carry a manufacturer's suggested retail price in the upper $40,000s.
