QuickTakes:

Buick's Avenir trim provides the automaker's highest degree of luxury in its most upscale SUVs: the Enclave and the Envision. From quilted, massaging front seats to advanced audio and infotainment systems, Avenir-level Buicks offer an array of comfort and technology options intended to make the driving experience as pleasant and indulgent as possible.

Which Vehicles Have Sported the Avenir Trim?

Buick rolled out its Avenir trim in 2018 for the Enclave; the premium interior and improved driving dynamics were greeted with rave reviews. Less than a year later, the Avenir (French for future) was offered as the new high-end trim on Buick's Regal and LaCrosse luxury sedans. Although both sedans were later discontinued as Buick pivoted toward an SUV-focused lineup, the Avenir trim remains available on the Buick Envision, Envista, and Enclave.

The 2024 Buick Enclave Avenir is visually distinct from its non-Avenir trims, with exterior niceties such as a Pearl Nickel aluminum finish on 20-inch wheels, enhanced-design LED headlamps, and an exclusive and distinct front end.

Inside, connectivity is given priority, with a wireless Wi-Fi hot spot and built-in Amazon Alexa capability, allowing drivers to listen to their music, get directions, and handle most infotainment and navigation needs without touching a single button. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and wireless smartphone charging are available as well.

The Avenir technology package provides owners with a smoother-riding suspension, adaptive cruise control, and a full-color digital head-up display. Total manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) starts at around $59,000.

The newest Buick Envision Avenir is not available until later in 2024, but the 2023 model aims to coddle its occupants with diamond-perforated quilting, a massage feature in the leather front seats, and Avenir-exclusive textured wood-trim accents. On the outside, there's the signature Avenir grille and 20-inch aluminum wheels with a Pearl Nickel finish.

The biggest upgrade on the Envision Avenir, though, is the available tech that comes standard: a nine-speaker Bose stereo system, wireless mobile charging, and a safety-focused suite of features called Buick Driver Confidence. This includes a full-color digital head-up display and HD Surround Vision, which provides enhanced parking assistance and visibility. Total MSRP starts at around $47,000.

All vehicle pricing includes MSRP plus destination charges (set at the time of publication), and will be rounded to the nearest thousand.
