Subaru treads into the world of electrification with the 2023 Solterra, a compact crossover SUV that is a purely electric vehicle. However, the Subaru features standard all-wheel drive, 8.3 inches of ground clearance, and slightly different styling. Its two electric motors produce 215 horsepower, and Subaru says a full battery charge will provide you with up to 228 miles of driving range for the base Premium trim. The Limited and Touring models have larger 20-inch wheels, which reduces the estimated range to 222 miles. Subaru says a Solterra provides up to 30 cubic feet of cargo space, enough for several days of silent communing with nature.
